What an absolutely brutal character study. I loved this movie. I think it warrants a second viewing to appreciate all of it. I am not familiar with the source material but I did roughly know the twist at the end. Kind of unavoidable for how long this movie has been out. While it didn’t spoil anything for my enjoyment, I do feel like picking any scene from the twist would be too much of a spoiler. The twist is so much more visceral than I was prepared for. I actually felt nauseous. So with those scenes off limits, I picked what may be considered as a throw away conversation. But I think this is an interesting conversation focused on the study of this character but also the character of man.
